We happened upon Kathy's on our way home from the Luray Caverns. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious! Very affordable, too. We would definitely go back if we're in the area again.

Small (10 table cafe if I remember correctly) but cozy & well worth it! The food was delicious & not expensive.

Forget about McDonald's by the interstate and drive the extra 2 minutes into town and eat local. Basic small town diner with assortment of burgers, sandwiches and lunch plates. Hillbilly burger is only $6 and served on Texas toast with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The only thing keeping from 5 star rating was that the mashed potatoes and gravy didn't taste or look real...probably out of a box.

Kathy's Home Cooking Cafe is a quiet little Cafe with a small town feel. Right from walking in the door the waitress was very friendly. The menu is we'll put together. The prices are very reasonable to the portion served. If I'm ever in the area again I will most definitely eat at Kathy's again.

The food was delicious. The sweet tea was perfect. The staff is friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our waitress was helpful and kept our drinks full. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again.

Nice small town atmosphere. Great food. Nicest staff I have been around. Great prices. Defiantly recommend a stop to eat here if you are in the area.

The owner was very sweet and accommodating for our large group (5 adults + 2 children). She allowed the kids to change their orders slightly and was very attentive with napkins and such to keep them happy. The burger I ordered was delicious and you can't beat the prices!

We were passing through Virginia and happened upon Kathy's. After sitting at our table not only the staff but the local, and loyal I'm sure, customers made us feel as is if we had lived in New Market Virginia our entire lives. Being on a long journey from Florida this atmosphere was extremely comforting. And by the way, the food was outstanding.

A hole in the wall...dirty...don't order here...a 10.00 meal turns out 24.00...and food is basic at best...you will be stared at the whole time...no music...no beer...nothing but lost money...1st and last time going there...

We stopped in and had a wonderful breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and rye toast. Toast was just the way I like it lightly toasted and not to crunchy, bacon was done just right too. Good service, kept coffee cup full and prices were reasonable.

This is a very well ran establishment. The food is awesome! The service excellent! The environment was super cozy, small, quaint, elegant. Small home town southern kitchen. It is a must! Civil War Stores and Sites all around!!! #LoveHistory #ThisIsOneNotToMiss
